ImageToday I received the T-Mobile G1 phone that I bought on eBay a week ago. I got an unlock code for 25$ and as far as I can say, it works perfectly with Swisscom. The phone asked me if I wanted to upgrade to the latest firmware which fixes some security issues. I can install applications from the Android Market. So I'm really happy at the moment Laughing.

Kimsufi reloaded

ImageOVH released new servers. More RAM and more disk space for the same price. So I now rent a Kimsufi Reloaded. Having 1 GB RAM instead of 256 MB makes a lot of difference. I finally can run clamav again.

I hope the migration went smooth for everybody. You will probably have to wait for the new DNS to propagate correctly.

iTrott

Image My brother, Pierre Jaquier, finished his "master of microengineering" final project a few days ago. He built an electric scooter which does not require any manual control. A Texas Instrument DSP detects the user impulsions and provides an assistance which simulates the deceleration on a flat surface.

The scooter is really small and lightweighted compared to commercial product. However, it is quite expensive because it is powered by a brushless motor and good LiPo batteries. Not ready for production yet Wink

You can see a demo of the iTrott on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22SJIETean4
