 After 156 days of uptime, I finally decided to update the server kernel and reboot the computer. I installed the latest 2.6.12 kernel and everything seems to run fine. The previous kernel was 2.6.10. I also modified my grub configuration in order to have a fallback kernel in case of kernel panic. More information are available here and in "info grub".
